Reefab is a three-year ERASMUS+ funded project and involving various realities around FabLabs related to making and participatory design on the Design Thinking model.

We are focusing on the paradigm shifts and challenges facing the materials industry, aquatic ecosystems, food production, the textile industry, digital skills and know-how.

The project started in early 2024 and will run until the end of 2026.

Turning climate and environmental challenges into opportunities, ensuring a fair and inclusive transition.

The Reefab project responds to European priorities by :

  • developing investigative activities, creating educational content, learning and training on environmental protection and the fight against global warming for youth workers and young people

  • by bringing together a wide range of players

  • using local digital fabrication workshops (also known as FabLabs) as resource centres for the ecological transition and action through Doing.

  • supporting the internal transformation of FabLabs that work with young adults by creating new activities to raise awareness of climate issues
